Jonathan is a graduate from the 3TU MSc. in Sustainable Energy Technology at Eindhoven University of Technology, specialized in Wind Energy at Delft University of Technology. He holds BSc. degrees in Product, Process & Production from Aalborg University (Denmark) and Mechatronics specialized in manufacturing systems from Tec de Monterrey (Mexico). Jonathan has 10 years of experience in energy technology, entrepreneurship and innovation. Jonathan is a former research scientist at the Mexican Ministry of Energy. He has received awards in Mexico, Denmark and the Netherlands. Jonathan also leads a technology accelerator in Mexico for applied robotics, industry 4.0 and circular economy in fast growing sectors; including horti-fruit export, agri-food, renewables, automotive and aerospace.
As Director for innovation programs in Europe and Latin America, Jonathan continuously sources opportunities and develops network partnerships with focus in Benelux, France, DACH, Nordics, Mexico, Brazil and Chile. Jonathan organizes technology trade missions for startups since 2015 with Business Innovation Tours. He provides innovation scouting and strategic advice to validate concrete opportunities and identify internationalisation barriers in emerging markets. Fernando is a graduate from the 3TU MSc. in Sustainable Energy Technology and holds an MBA certificate on entrepreneurship from Eindhoven University of Technology. He also holds a BSc. degree in Mechatronics from Tec de Monterrey (Mexico). Green-ID was initiated as an outcome from his MSc thesis at TU/e on enabling social capital for international technology transfer. This reflects on his coaching style enabling entrepreneurs to make effective use of international networks and informing on opportunities for both innovation and trade. For Fernando, each coaching traject is different and facilitated with brainstorming sessions to create new products, designing business experiments for proof of concept, internationalization strategies, identification of barriers and opportunities.

Jan is our lead expert advisor on international brokering and technology transfer with over 20 years of experience with cross-cultural hands-on business support focused on technology. Jan also has been business mentor for Green ID founders since 2012. Jan has a lot of international business and export experience. He had many business development and export related management positions at engineering and production companies active in the construction and electronics sector.
As coach, Jan supports companies in making strategic decisions related to export and/or outsourcing (part of) their production capacities. This means not only a change in internal organization, but also finding local partners, improving the local production capabilities, setting-up co-production and/or assembly arrangements, starting joint-venture relations etc. Jan can advice entrepreneurs on how to safeguard their technology development capabilities in place while protecting their IPR.
Robert is our business innovation expert partner for bilateral funding in Netherlands and technology brokering in EU. Robert has experience with development of food and feed standard and specialty products for the international market (EU, USA) as former project manager at DSM Food Specialties and a start-up algae producing company. As technology broker at the Enterprise Europe Network he gained experience with organizing matchmaking events and outgoing company missions for the Netherlands to Brazil, Greece and European Union in horticulture and agri-food.

Tjitte is director of Frisia. Since 2015, Tjitte van der Werf collaborates with Green-ID as business innovation & trade partner in Brazil. During the last 16 years, Tjitte has supported many companies in their first steps to export to Brazil. First as chief representative of the Netherlands Business Support Office in Porto Alegre and since 2005 as a consultant for (principally Dutch) companies. Services include market research, partner search, identification of clients. Tjitte may act as a representative agent for Dutch companies in Brazil.
For Tjitte, a main component of all trajectories to assist a company in doing business in Brazil is coaching and short assignments for market validation. Alberto has an academic background which is a mix of engineering, manufacturing and technology, economics, finance and general business. During the last 7 years, Alberto has held international positions at big corporations and worked also with SMEs. Alberto has experience in the steel production, home appliances and food FMCG sectors in Europe, China, Mexico and the USA.
